Top 40 Video games Part 3: Gold Tier (24-17)

Welp, we've done the first 2/5th of the list....time for Part 3 24) Fallout 4 (2015) PS4 To be honest, I was very tempted to leave this off the list entirely because I'm not a fan of Bethesda's seeming business practice of releasing buggy and glitchy games intentionally and assuming fans will fix it for them with Mods later cause they make their code easily accessible. (so anyone want to guess what the chances are of seeing any of the Elder Scrolls games are?) And I'll go so far as to admit this is the reason i didnt buy Fallout 4 until I found it on sale one day for like $30 and figured "what the hell why not?"  Turns out when I started it up...it was actually pretty good. I liked the concept of being a survivor of the pre nuke era waking up in a post Apocalypse and I had a lot of fun running around the map....for a long while anyways. The biggest flaw in this game is there is actually too damn much of it....the first half dozen settlements or so I foun

So last time we did games 40-33 counting down the top 40 video games of all time....now its time for games 32-25: 32) Icewind Dale 2 (2002) PC Of all the games on the list, I've probably started this one the most. Never finished it, but started it a ton. And thats because of the character creator, at the time it came out, it gave more options that any other I'd ever seen. And you can create an entire party of 6 characters. But thats also its greatest flaw, unlike its older brothers the Baldurs gate games, the fact that you created your entire party, meant in effect there was no NPC, no party banter ect. And most of the maps where pretty much the same thing...enter at one end, slaughter your way to the other. Which is fun...but for someone like me whoes storyline driven, a hack and slash RPG is only going to get so far. Now I will say this, if you like Diablo (or at least Diablo 3) you'll probibly like this game....its the same basic structure, but with many more custom

So this is something I've wanted to do for a while, rank the best video games of all time. And given its E3 this week, this seemed like the prefect opportunity to start. Now to be clear, this is a completely objective list, and not at all opinion. So if you disagree with any of my picks or rankings, its because you have horrible taste is video games. No of course not, this, like all lists of this time is 100% my opinion. Now a couple of things before we get started First, I only really play single player or couch co-ops, so only those options are considered in this ranking. Meaning if you came here looking for World of Warcraft or any other MMO, you might be a bit disappointed. And this list obviously caters to the games I like, which generally speaking are RPG's and Action/Adventure games. Now that doesnt mean other genres wont appear, but again if your expecting a list full of Madden NFL, NBA2k, Resident Evil, Call of Duty or Mortal Kombat this aint the list for you
